Overview

The city of Warson Woods, Mo. adopted the following codes as stated in Section 505.101 – Adoption of St. Louis County Codes:

The St. Louis County

1. Building (commercial only — signs excluded);

2. Electrical;

3. Existing Building (commercial only — signs excluded);

4. Explosives;

5. Mechanical;

6. Plumbing; and

7. Property Maintenance

Codes as amended by the County of St. Louis through date of last amendatory ordinances for each of such Codes as follows:

1. July 21, 2010 as amended by St. Louis County Ordinance 24,444;

2. July 14, 2010 as amended by St. Louis County Ordinance 24,439;

3. July 21, 2010 as amended by St. Louis County Ordinance 24,444;

4. November 12, 1997 as amended by St. Louis County Ordinance 18,693;

5. July 14, 2010 as amended by St. Louis County Ordinance 24,438;

6. July 14, 2010 as amended by St. Louis County Ordinance 24,441; and

7. July 14, 2010 as amended by St. Louis County Ordinance 24,440;

respectively are hereby adopted as the

2. Electrical;

3. Existing Building (commercial only — signs excluded);

4. Explosives;

5. Mechanical;

6. Plumbing; and

7. Property Maintenance

Code(s) of the City of Warson Woods, Missouri, as if fully set out herein (hereinafter referred to as "the Codes"). At least one (1) copy of such Code, portion or amendment which is incorporated or adopted by reference, shall be filed in the office of the City Clerk and there kept available for public use, inspection, and examination.

The city adopted the International Residential Code, 2009 edition, as adopted by St. Louis County, Missouri, pursuant to St. Louis County Ordinance No. 24,427. Warson Woods, Mo. Muni. Code § 500.010 (adopted) with local amendments to the St. Louis Code at § 500.020.

Existing Buildings

Existing buildings, meaning buildings that were built in accordance to code at the time of construction, typically merit extra consideration in a current updated code.
